A Bed and Breakfast situated in a picturesque little alley in Tropea’s historical centre opened after a careful renovation of a historical building thanks to its owner’s enthusiasm and passion for architecture, history and antiques. It offers an exclusive, refined and familiar atmosphere. The owner of this B and B, whose ancestors used to live here, has tried to preserve the memories, antiques and anecdotes of a past world, and thus explaining the choice of the name Donnaciccina.

Donna Ciccina was a lady, single by choice, determined, efficient and cunning like a fox and who was an institution in Tropea. She was an excellent cook, a refined confectioner and she used to run a textile shop in Tropea’s high street.

Donnaciccina B&B offers cosy wide, comfortable rooms that have been carefully and pleasantly furnished. Each room is provided with different handcrafted wooden furniture, some with canopy beds and wooden ceilings. Some rooms have a spectacular view of the sea and of Tropea’s ancient tiled roofs. Others have a small balcony where you can relax and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere of the historical heart of Tropea.

Breakfast is served downstairs in a beautiful exposed stone wall setting and it includes home-made cakes.
